Ryan,
Patient Advocate

Ryan has been with us since early 2014. He says, “helping people is what matters.”

He especially enjoys how our team works well with each other, and how we treat our patients like they are ohana. He also really likes seeing how each patient grows with time.

After hours, Ryan has fun with swimming, snorkeling, trying new foods, music, and hanging out with friends.


Leigh,
Lead Orthodontic Assistant

Leigh joined the Hi Smile team in 2014, and has been involved in the orthodontic industry since 1990.

She says, “the best thing about orthodontics at Hi Smile is inviting new patients into our ohana, making lots of new memories, and inspiring everyone to enjoy their wonderful new smile.”

In her private life Leigh enjoys jogging, and spending endless time with her daughter laughing and playing around.


Heather,
Orthodontic Assistant, Treatment Coordinator

Heather moved to Oahu in 2008 from Arizona and has been in the dental field for 21 years.

Her favorite part about working at Hi Smile Orthodontics is building new relationships and watching our patients’ newfound confidence after their treatment is complete.

During her free time, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and 12-year-old son, and keeps active by going on hikes and enjoying the ocean.


Lisa Strand-Ma’a,
Registered Dental Hygienist

Lisa graduated from the University of Hawaii Dental Hygiene Program in 1987 as Vice President of her class and also received a degree in communications.

She has been practicing Dental Hygiene for more than 3 decades and loves her profession. Lisa feels strongly that oral health is the key to overall good health.

On a personal level, Lisa has four children–Misty, Micah, Mehana, and Maluhia.

In her free time she enjoys anything outside–hiking, biking, playing beach volleyball, cooking, reading, sewing, and spending time with loved ones.


Taylor
Resident Ninja

Taylor has been assisting with administrative duties for two years now. She is a recent graduate of Maryknoll High School and will be attending the University of Rochester in the fall.

Taylor aspires to major in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice; this is will be lead-way to law school to pursue her dream of becoming an attorney.

During her free time she enjoys going to the beach, playing tennis, and hanging out with friends.


Ku’u
Orthodontic Assistant

Ku’u joined the Hi Smile Ohana with the desire to improve the smiles of patients.

She says “being a part of patient explorations to a renewed confidence and happiness through orthodontic treatment” is the greatest honor.

Outside the office, Ku’u enjoys time with her husband, two daughters, the ocean, fitness, and exercise.
